Famous Last Words

An exploration of life, death and dying.

A project created in conjunction with Blumline.

The Workbook

The idea for the Famous Last Words Workbook arose during the height of The Pandemic, as many people were facing death and lacking compassionate materials explaining how to have conversations around dying with loved ones. This workbook is aimed to be an empathetic guide for those in the process of having these conversations.

Social Media Strategy

I assembled a social media strategy to create a free database of ideas and resources to the public outside of The Workbook.

1. Philosophy
Because FLW is so esoteric and dances on a part of western culture that is considered taboo to discuss, let’s use metaphor and visually engaging imagery whenever we talk about our philosophy.

2. Inspiration
We will use our platform to explore what death & dying looks like in other cultures as a way of inspiring the audience to look at death in new ways.

3. Tough Questions
We can give sneak peeks of FLW content by posing our thought provoking questions to our audience.

4. Testimonials
To fur ther explore and express the mission of FLW, we will of fer our community testimonials of what the ritual has brought to others’ lives. These should be in the same style.

5. Ritual Visualization
Let’s pose the question to our audience: how do you par ticipate in this ritual? We can post any photo responses we get to the prompt and can show various ways of approaching the ritual to inspire.

6. Death & Dying Glossary
There are a lot of technical terms that come up when talking about death. Let’s create an ongoing ‘glossary’ to keep our audience informed and engaged in the ritual.
